Job Responsibilities

Job Description

ROLES, RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY:

Collaborate with accounting and relevant departments or sections in the company to establish costing objectives and budgets for the Company

Performs a variety of tasks related to budgeting, forecasting and cost tracking

Setting standard costs of manufactured goods. Establishing costs of business processes such as manufacturing, administration, labour, shipping, etc

Analysing manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs

Making estimates of new and proposed product costs

Collecting and analyze data on departmental operational costs. Carrying out cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis

Developing and maintaining cost accounting system, documents, and records of the organization

Preparing costing and internal cost audit reports and presenting to Management

Recommending changes to the Company’s processes and policies to reduce cost and maximize profit

Supporting other Accountants and Accounts personnel with financial accounting, general ledger, capital expenditure, etc

Undertaking any other duties assigned by superiors or the Management from time to time

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum LCCI Diploma, Degree in Accounting or ACCA, CIMA or equivalent

Minimum 5 years of working experience in accounting field with not less than 2 years of Cost Accounting working experience

Familiar with SAP system will be an added advantage

Solid cost systems background especially in manufacturing environment

Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills

Meticulous, attention to detail with superb organizational skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet tight deadlines

Excellent report-writing, communication and computer (Microsoft Applications) skills

Positive attitude, hard-working, pleasant personality\
