Job Responsibilities

1. Production-planning supervision, scheduling for production, preparing production schedules for manufacturing of industrial or commercial products
2. Making sure each operation meets shipping dates according to sales forecasts or customer orders
3. Determining the status of assigned projects, expedites operations that delay schedules and alters schedules to meet unforeseen conditions
4. Distribute production schedules or work orders to departments
5. Analyses and interprets construction bill material, scopes, specifications, etc., to determine the content & plan manageable work elements
6. Monitors, analyses & reports performance to schedule of production & production support activities, utilizing Information derived from material and production control systems
7. Ensures all parties are fully cognizant of production status & that work planning and execution objectives are integrated & communicated
8. Coordinates & expedites the placement of purchase orders and/or delivery of material
9. Schedules, expedite & coordinates the delivery & movement of critical material including materials transfer & conditional material releases
10. Initiates replacement orders for lost, damaged or discrepant items
11. Confer with department supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes
12. Revise production schedules when required due to design changes, labour or material shortages, backlogs or other interruptions, collaborating with management, marketing, sales, production or engineering
13. Resolves problems utilizing acquired knowledge & analytical abilities
14. Any tasks assigned by Superior from time to time
