Job responsibilities and duties
1. Responsible for product design & new development of mechanical equipment using CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks) and simulation software according to customers’ requirement
2. Prepare designs reports by collecting, analyzing & summarizing information during design stage
3. Translate customer’s requirement into design specification, evaluate design functionality & feasibility to meet customer’s request
4. Arrange for technical discussion, negotiation and solution meeting with Sales team to keep them abreast of the project progress
5. Prepare proposal and conceptual design based on the requirement and specifications given for customer to review
6. Execute mechanical piece part design, mechanism design and module assembly process verification
7. Evaluate and assure the design quality is up to expectation by reviewing customer process flow, product handling & assembly process
8. Generate detailed drawings and assembly drawings for manufacturing, assembly & engineering works as well as preparing Bill of Material (BOM) list for parts purchase purposes
9. Performed Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) or Extended Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (EFMEA) if required
